Swallows Never Die in Jerusalem

On the eve of the Rabin-Arafat peace accord, Richard, a French TV journalist, arrives in Israel. There he meets a Palestinian taxi driver named Hammoudi and becomes involved with his search for Hammoudi's long-lost grandmother. The complex politics and ancient rivalries of the area are revealed when Richard's master plan of getting together his girlfriend's father (played by Ben Gazzara) and Hammoudi's father for a television interview and miniature "peace accord" ends in tragedy.
