Salem is an actor who plays bit parts at the National Theater, all the while day-dreaming of bigger roles. Nada is his lover, but work and life have kept them apart. When they finally have a chance to be alone together, in an apartment of a friend, Salem's imagination runs wild, giving him the role of a lifetime when the apartment next door comes under investigation by the State.
