Lebanon: Bits and Pieces
Olga Nakkas | France | 1994 | 60 min. | documentary
![]()
Through the voices of women, Nakkas explores the myths and realities of present-day Lebanon. During Nakkas' childhood, Lebanon was known to the outside world as an exemplary model of peace in the heart of an Arab Middle East dominated by dictators. Today, however, after 17 years of war, Beirut is surrounded by shanty towns overflowing with refugees. Reflective in nature, Lebanon: Bits and Pieces represents the process of rediscovering a land, and oneself.
