Here's my list of ways you can help protect marine mammals:

1. Write letters -- there are some important ones to send right now on our gray whale briefing and navy sonar system page.
   
   
2. Keep up -- ask me questions whenever you have them and sign up for Earth Action, our free biweekly bulletin (about a range of environmental issues, not just marine mammals, but all of them critical).
   
   
3. Use your consumer power -- don't buy products from Mitsubishi, which is trying to build a salt factory in the middle of the gray whale's last untouched calving lagoon, jeopardizing this magnificent animal's recovery from the brink of extinction.
   
   
4. Educate others -- Teach your kids and work with schools. Talk about the issues with other adults.
